Hospitals on FHIR Webinar 25 June 2026

🚨 Upcoming Webinar | Hospitals on FHIR Series 🚨

Hospitals on FHIR, in collaboration with HL7 Europe and the XiA Project, is pleased to announce the next webinar in our series coming up in June:
Implementing the EU Lab Report at Your Hospital:
Logical Models – Bridging Functional Requirements and Interoperability Standards

As hospitals prepare for EHDS implementation, understanding how healthcare information is structured and represented is becoming essential.

This session will introduce FHIR Logical Models — abstract, technology-independent representations of healthcare data that help bridge business requirements and technical implementation. Participants will learn how logical models can support interoperability projects, enable mappings between standards, and improve collaboration between clinical, business, and IT teams.

The webinar will also explore how logical models can serve as a pivot between FHIR, HL7v2, CDA, and other healthcare data structures, supporting the development of EHDS-ready architectures.

🎙 Speaker
Hynek Kruzik, HL7 Czech Republic
Expert in healthcare interoperability and HL7 standards, actively involved in the modelling and implementation of interoperable healthcare information systems.

✅ Key takeaways

  • What Logical Models are and why they matter
  • How they support both business and technical teams
  • How FHIR represents Logical Models using StructureDefinition
  • Examples of mappings between Logical Models and FHIR resources
  • Their role in EHDS-ready interoperability architectures

🎯 Target audience
Healthcare professionals, hospital managers, interoperability architects, IT vendors, analysts, implementers, and digital health stakeholders involved in EHDS implementation and standards-based data exchange.
